Waterloo Region, ON – February 26, 2026
Kindred Credit Union is pleased to announce a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa as the financial partner providing residential mortgages for the Beechcliffe Homes build, a community of 33 affordable townhomes in Nepean.
Located at 40 Beechcliffe Street, the Beechcliffe Homes development will feature three- and four-bedroom, family-sized homes designed to support long-term, sustainable homeownership through Habitat for Humanity’s affordable mortgage model.
While the Ottawa region is outside Kindred’s primary markets, the credit union has both personal and church memberships in the area. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to increasing the availability of affordable housing in Ontario, and to building healthy communities,” said Jason Daly, CEO of Kindred. “Access to safe and affordable housing is foundational for families and communities to thrive. We are grateful for the opportunity to support families in Ottawa through Habitat’s impactful model of homeownership.”
Habitat Greater Ottawa’s approach combines affordable mortgages with community support, helping families build stability and equity over time. Through this collaboration, Kindred is contributing to meaningful community impact and advancing the credit union’s purpose of cooperative banking that connects values and faith with finances.
"We’re pleased to welcome Kindred Credit Union as the financing partner for our Beechcliffe Homes development,"said Sara Cooper, CEO of Habitat Greater Ottawa. "Their support strengthens our ability to deliver sustainable, affordable homeownership opportunities for 33 future homeowners.”
