Kindred Credit Union, and other Canadian Credit Unions, Rank First in 6 Ipsos Banking Awards

The 2022 Financial Service Excellence Awards, an annual program that recognizes Canadian financial institutions for excellence in customer experience by Ipsos, has ranked Canadian Credit Unions as the top in Customer Service Excellence – for the 18th year in the row.

According to the Ipsos website, their banking award was first introduced in 1987. The Customer Service Index (CSI) survey generates the winners of the annual Financial Service Excellence Awards (formerly Best Banking Awards), with this year’s awards based on the combined results of 47,940 completed surveys for the 2022 CSI program year (ending September 2022). These results are based on a demographically and regionally representative sample of Canadians and the awards are presented across 11 categories.

The Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) noted that Canada’s credit unions (of which Kindred belongs to) won 6 Ipsos awards this year, an increase from the 5 awards they were presented last year. Those awards were: Values My Business, Financial Planning and Advice, Branch Service Excellence, Online Banking Service, and Live Agent Telephone Banking Excellence.

Newly among the awards for 2022 was the award for best Financial Planning and Advice, a testament to credit unions’ relationships with their members and commitment to supporting their financial well-being.

Additionally, the overall Customer Service Excellence Award for 2022 among all financial institutions in the retail banking sector goes to Canada’s Credit Unions, an aggregate of individual Credit Unions across the country.

Congratulations to all of Canada’s credit unions, and the other winners!
