Changes to your Qtrade Advisor and Qtrade Asset Management Accounts

In 2018, Credential Financial joined Qtrade Financial Group and NEI Investments to create a new parent company, Aviso Wealth. Aviso continues to work towards aligning their business lines and the next step involves the integration of their mutual fund dealer companies to a single new system.

What does this mean for you?

As of January 15, 2021, the names of your Qtrade mutual fund accounts will be changing. Your account number will change as well. Other impacts are outlined in the insert you received in your December mutual fund statement.

Mutual fund accounts linked in Kindred Online Banking
If you have set up a Partner Account link to Qtrade Advisor or Qtrade Asset Management in the Partner Accounts section of online banking (just below your accounts summary), you will see two changes after January 15:

1.

These Partner Account link names will change as follows:
Qtrade Advisor > Credential Securities
Qtrade Asset Management > Credential Asset Management

2.

Your Qtrade Asset Management account links will stop working and you will have to re-establish the link. To begin this process, click the “Link a Partner Account” link and follow the on-screen prompts for resetting Partner Account link(s).

You can rest assured that your investing balance is accurate, however, there may be some discrepancies during this transition process. All balances should appear correctly once you’ve reset the Partner Account(s) and after January 18.
Qtrade Advisor and Qtrade Investor accounts are not affected by these changes.

Your new account number

Mutual Fund clients can reset Partner Account links using either the existing Client ID or the new Credential Asset Management Client ID. Your new account number will be featured on your March mutual fund statement.

Please speak with a member of your branch Financial Planning Team to ask any questions you may have or to obtain your new Credential Client ID number.
