Paving the Path for Personal Financial Management – Changes to MemberDirect® Online Banking

February 27, 2017 – We’re excited to share how Kindred is continuing to improve your MemberDirect Online Banking experience. The next time you login to MemberDirect, you will notice a few changes - features that look different or work slightly differently. These changes are the first steps in preparation for the late spring launch of the NEW MemberDirect Online Banking, with integrated Personal Financial Management.

When the NEW MemberDirect is fully launched, Kindred members' online banking experience will include additional functionality such as the ability to: view activity for a number of related accounts, categorize expenses, manage budgets and track spending – just to name a few.

Even though most of the changes you will notice during the preparation phase will not affect the functionality of online banking, there are a few additions that we'd like to highlight for you:

Account Summary screen

Quick Action drop down buttons: You can use these arrows to view account activity, pay bills, transfer money, send eTransfer, and rename an account.

Partner Accounts: If you currently have a linked account, such as Qtrade Investor, these accounts will appear in this area. To link a Partner Account, simply click “Link a partner account”, and select the account you’d like to link.

Scheduled Bill Payments & Transfers: This new list located under the login button, will let you see at-a-glance the next three scheduled bill payments and/or transfers setup on your account.

Account Activity screen

View, Timeframe, and Search or Filter: This is similar to your current account activity information. You can select which account you wish to review, and then use the simple drop downs to easily find what you're looking for.

Account details: This list under the login button gives you high level details about your account, such as: balance, interest rate, line of credit, and available funds.

For Mobile App Users

You will notice a new Spending icon on the app home screen. This feature will not be available until after the launch of the NEW MemberDirect Online Banking in late spring. If you do happen to click on the Spending icon, an alert will appear letting you know that it is not available to you.
